Patotara (Leucopogon fraseri)

Patotara is a small shrub endemic to New Zealand, in the Ericaceae family found throughout the country from coastal to alpine regions.
Characteristics are a low growing shrub up to 10-15cm with short, prickly leaves and small pinkish white flowers with a hairy surface to the interior of their five lobes.
This example was found in a small patch on the lower end of a spur within the Wither Hills Farm Park, within the QEII covenant area.
