Tauhinu (Ozothamnus leptophyllus) is a common New Zealand native shrub with small silvery grey leaves, common  in sunny and dry habitats. Tauhinu can readily colonise bare hillsides and pasture, and grows rapidly, acting as a nursery plant for other species.

This example was photographed in the Wither Hills Farm Park.
