Marlborough has a number of golf courses, possibly with one of the highest number of courses per capita in the world.
A number of tournaments are held around the region, including some unusual ones. Wairau Valley has hosted nude golf tournaments for naturist groups, while the remote Nopera golf course in the Marlborough Sounds is perhaps one of the most isolated in New Zealand.
