Leratiomyces erythrocephalus (Red Pouch Fungus)

Leratiomyces erythrocephalus or  Red Pouch Fungus is a small fungus endemic to New Zealand.

This example was one of a large number observed on the forest floor in the Onamalutu reserve.

Size is approximately 25mm wide and 30mm high.
