Convolvulus soldanella (shore convulvulus, nihinihi) is an indigenous perennial flowering plant found throughout New Zealand in sandy soil along shorelines. Flowering is from spring to autumn, with large pink/white flowers.
The roots were used by Māori as a food.
This example was observed at Rarangi beach.
