Cullen Point is a DOC reserve located 4.5km from Havelock on Queen Charlotte Drive. From the car park, there is a short 10 minute walk to a lookout point, and a longer loop track that takes around an hour.

Lookout Track

The lookout track is a short loop, 10 minutes each way to a lookout point with views of Pelorus Sound, Havelock, and the Kaituna and Pelorus Valleys.

Coastal Loop Track

The coastal loop track takes around an hour to walk, and passes through regenerating native forest. The track has fairly gentle gradients, which should suit most levels of fitness, however due to tree roots and being narrow in places, is not suitable for a child stroller. From different points on the track, there are good views of Pelorus Sound, Havelock, and the Kaituna Valley. Vegetation ranges from manuka scrub to tree ferns and beech forest. A wide variety of fern species are present.
