Last Modified: 21-2-2019 9:40
The Riverlands Rail Trail is a sealed cycleway from central Blenheim to the Riverlands industrial estate to the east of Blenheim. The trail is four kilometres long, beginning in Blenheim at the end of McArtney Street. The trail follows the railway line, crossing Alabama Road near Riverlands School. At Cob Cottage Road, it is possible to connect with the Wither Hills Mapp Track.
The trail is mostly flat, with a couple of sections with very gentle gradients so suitable for cyclists of all fitness levels.
Officially opened on 3 September 2013, the cycle trail cost approximately $200,000 to construct.
