Turutu (Dianella nigra)

Turutu (Dianella nigra) is a New Zealand endemic plant found in a variety of habitats with distinctive bluish purple poisonous berries. The plant has flax like leaves growing up to about 1m.
This example was observed in forest understorey at Butchers Flat in Mount Richmond Forest Park.
