Necklace fern (Asplenium flabellifolium)
Last Modified: 23-10-2020 21:21
Asplenium flabellifolium is a widely distributed small fern indigenous to New Zealand and Australia. It can be found in a wide variety of habitats, however requires a reasonable amount of light, and is not found in deep forest or heavily shaded environments.
This example was photographed in a typical environment, growing out of eroded alluvial deposits above a stream bed within the Wither Hills Farm Park.
