Pterophorus innotatalis is a member of the Pterophoridae (plume moth) family, the species being endemic to New Zealand. Plume moths are small moths (20-30mm) with unusual wings compared to most moths.

P. innotatalis larvae feed on Dichondra species.

This example was observed within the Wither Hills Farm Park.
