Haiku of the day - 'Otago' Gold

Being confined to walking or short cycling distance of home in Blenheim, a fun challenge is to recreate landscapes or scenes from other parts of New Zealand or the world. Today I have a tribute to Central Otago, with its arid landscapes, blue skies,  and golden autumn colours. Marlborough is every bit as good at showing off blue and gold, and it's often not necessary to go far to find it. This photo was taken along the Sutherland Stream walkway a few hundred metres before the Redwood Street entrance to the Wither Hills Farm Park.

Golden poplars reach
skywards heralding autumn
