The people have spoken and today the results of the local body elections will be known. Those people who have put their names forward deserve recognition, whether they are elected or not, as do those people who have taken the time to vote. Participation is crucial for democracy to function.

The next three years for Marlborough will involve some challenging decisions, but the people who will make those decisions on behalf of the community, are those the community has chosen.
