Marlborough Made Campaign

There's a lot of talk about supporting local Marlborough businesses, but all too often the people who make the most noise and who should know better, shop outside the region.
While there is the 'Love Marlborough' logo, this has licensing fees associated with it, and a number of web sites in particular that use the logo, have actually contracted businesses outside the region, when there are plenty of local businesses that could do the work.
Marlborough is a vibrant region with many talented people and these people need to be given an opportunity to use their skills, otherwise Marlborough will forever be a low waged centre of mediocrity centred around low skilled physical labour.
With this in mind, I've created the 'Marlborough Made' logo, and while I retain the copyright, I'm making the logo freely available to any local businesses to use on their web sites or on printed material under the following conditions.
- *If used on a web site, your web site must be developed by a Marlborough based web designer/developer.
- -You must provide a link to the web designer/developer's own web site unless developed in house by you or your own staff.
- -You must make the logo link back to this page.
- *Your business must be wholly or substantially based in Marlborough. ie your web site or printed documentation should provide a Marlborough address.
- *You may not charge anyone for the use of the logo.
About the logo
The logo is based around Marlborough's reputation for sunshine, the spectacular Marlborough Sounds, and the rugged mountains of the Richmond Range.
The golden circle of the sun surrounds the two Ms one for the mountains, and the other for the sea.
